What if I need to cancel a walk?We pride ourselves on our flexibility, but we also like to have a heads up whenever possible. So please give us as much notice as possible so that we can schedule our walk times and groups effectively. Of course there are times where there is an unforeseen emergency and you need to cancel. So in the case of emergency or notice given the day before, no cancellation fee is incurred. However same day cancellation or a no-show incurs the full service fee.

What if I need a walk or pet visit on the day?Our flexibility works the other way too! Please know that if your dog needs a walk or you require a pet visit at late notice, call us and we will try our utmost to help you.

How do I pay for your services? It’s really easy! Dog walking payments are made via direct debit into the Pawsitive Training Solutions bank account on a weekly basis. Account details are provided at the time of signing up for our services. We ask that funds be in the account by the start of the walking week on the Monday. Cash is also accepted in some circumstances. For holiday pet visits, we ask that a 50% deposit is made at the time of booking and 50% balance paid the day before the service commences.

Do you walk in all types of weather? We sure do! We walk rain or shine. The dogs still enjoy getting out and you don’t have to face the elements yourself. Please note that we do not walk during electrical or hailstorms. We do ask that you purchase a suitable rainproof jacket for your dog because, although we towel dry them after a wet walk, it is best they are kept as dry as possible by wearing appropriate weather gear (try Weatherbeeta). If you could also leave a towel out on wet days. In the hot weather, rest assured that your dog will be kept well hydrated and walked in areas where there is plenty of shade.

What if my dog is not socialised, can you socialise my dog for me?"If your dog is not socialised, we are happy to offer private walks, or training walks until we both agree to try a pack walk. If your dog shows any type of aggression or fear towards other dogs, for the safety of your dog and the other dogs, it is best to do one-on-one walks. They still love it!

How can I help my dog stay healthy and safe?We ask that all dogs be treated to prevent fleas and ticks. Please speak with your vet about the best treatment to use. Paralysis tick is life threatening and therefore correct treatment is imperative for the health and safety of your beloved dog. We also ask that you inform us if your dog is showing any signs of sickness or coughing, so that we can decide whether a private walk is more suitable until your vet gives the all clear to rejoin the pack again. Please also ensure that your dog’s collar is fastened securely and firm enough so that it cannot slip over their head. Your pet should also be micro-chipped, fully vaccinated and be wearing an ID tag. Please ensure that your contact details are up to date with your local council and the pet registry.Your dog will also require a harness for van travel. The EzyDog Quick Fit Harness is recommended for ease of use, strength and durability.
